13-Day Majestic East Africa Explorer Safari Itinerary
Day 1 - Saturday - Arrival in Nairobi
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you will be met and transferred to the Marriott Nairobi for an overnight stay. This luxurious hotel provides the perfect environment to relax after your long journey. Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy the hotel’s excellent amenities or take a short city tour to explore Nairobi's highlights.

Day 2 - Sunday - Nairobi to Masai Mara
After a leisurely breakfast, you’ll begin your journey to the world-famous Masai Mara National Reserve. You may choose to travel by road or opt for a quick charter flight. Upon arrival at the renowned Governor’s Camp, you will enjoy a delicious lunch before embarking on your first-afternoon game drive. The rich wildlife of the Masai Mara awaits, offering sightings of lions, elephants, and possibly even a cheetah or leopard.

Day 3 & 4 - Monday & Tuesday - Masai Mara
Spend the next two days exploring the vast plains of the Masai Mara. Each day begins with an early morning game drive when the animals are most active. After lunch at the camp, you’ll have time to relax before heading out again in the late afternoon for another game drive. Witness the majestic wildebeest migration if you’re visiting during the right season, or marvel at the variety of wildlife. For a special treat, you can book an optional hot air balloon safari and a champagne breakfast on the savannah.

Day 5 - Wednesday - Masai Mara to Serengeti
Today, you will journey across the border into Tanzania, heading towards the Serengeti National Park. After crossing the Isebania border, you will arrive at the luxurious Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti, enjoying lunch followed by an afternoon game drive. The Serengeti, with its rolling plains and abundance of wildlife, is a perfect complement to the Mara.

Day 6 & 7 - Thursday & Friday - Serengeti National Park
Your days in the Serengeti will be filled with exciting game drives, taking you deep into this iconic landscape. Whether you’re searching for lions or hoping to spot the Great Migration, every game drive offers the chance to witness nature at its best. On one of these days, you can choose to visit the Olduvai Gorge, an important archaeological site that provides insights into early human history.

Day 8 - Saturday - Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll leave the Serengeti and drive to the breathtaking Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Your accommodation at the Ngorongoro Crater Lodge offers spectacular views over the crater. Spend your afternoon relaxing at the lodge or take a guided walk along the crater rim for a closer look at this incredible natural wonder.

Day 9 - Sunday - Ngorongoro Crater
An early start will allow you to descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the most densely populated wildlife areas in Africa. Spend the day on a game drive within the crater, where you might spot the elusive black rhino, among many other species. After a picnic lunch near the hippo pool, continue your exploration before returning to the lodge for a relaxing evening.

Day 10 - Monday - Ngorongoro to Arusha
Today, you will depart for Arusha, arriving at the tranquil Arusha Coffee Lodge in time for lunch. Surrounded by lush coffee plantations, this lodge is an ideal place to unwind. You’ll have the rest of the afternoon to relax or take a guided coffee plantation tour.

Day 11 - Tuesday - Arusha to Zanzibar
In the morning, you’ll take a flight from Arusha to the idyllic island of Zanzibar. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the luxurious Baraza Resort & Spa, where you can spend the afternoon lounging by the beach or exploring the historic streets of Stone Town.

Day 12 - Wednesday - Zanzibar
A full day of leisure awaits you in Zanzibar. Whether you prefer to take a guided spice tour, snorkel in the warm Indian Ocean waters, or simply relax on the pristine beaches, Zanzibar has something for everyone. You may also explore the cultural heritage of Stone Town, visiting its ancient palaces and bustling markets.

Day 13 - Thursday - Zanzibar to Nairobi / Departure
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your flight back to Nairobi or onwards to your next destination. If time allows, you could opt for a final morning of relaxation at the resort before your afternoon flight.
